Tottenham vs Juventus Team News: Mandzukic out but Higuain in squad

Juventus have confirmed that Gonzalo Higuain is in the squad to face Tottenham in their crunch Champions League tie on Wednesday night. 

The Argentine has been sidelined with an ankle problem sustained in the 1-0 win over Torino last month and it has been touch and go as to whether he would be fit for the meeting with Spurs. 

Higuain, who scored twice in the 2-2 first leg draw back in Turin, is part of the squad, but Mario Mandzukic misses out for Juventus. 

The Croatia international is carrying a thigh knock and joins Federico Bernardeschi and Juan Cuadrado on the sidelines, though Mattia De Sciglio is part of the 21-man squad that has travelled to London after overcoming injury. 

For hosts Tottenham, Serge Aurier is suspended after his booking in the first half of the 2-2 draw with Juventus having brought down Douglas Costa for a penalty, which was subsequently missed by Higuain. 

Toby Alderweireld is also ruled out for Spurs with a hamstring injury, though Mauricio Pochettino has no further absentee issues after Mousa Dembele was passed fit after being forced off in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.
