Inter transfer list two players to afford Manchester United striker Lukaku

Inter are trying to offload Dalbert and Joao Mario in order to raise funds to sign Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, claims The Sun.

New Inter manager Antonio Conte has earmarked Lukaku as his top transfer target after missing out on the Belgium international during his time as Chelsea boss.

Lukaku has dropped down the pecking order at United over the last six months and has already hailed Conte as the best manager in the world.

The 26-year-old wants to join Inter this summer but the Serie A giants need to sell first before they can afford a blockbuster deal for the United striker.

Selling Lukaku is not a priority for United but they will sanction his departure if they can recoup their full £80m investment.

United have already turned down a player-plus-cash deal involving Mauro Icardi, as well as Inter’s proposed two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2021.

Inter are struggling to find any suitors for Icardi and are now trying to raise money by selling other players such as Dalbert and Mario, who are both deemed surplus to requirements at the club.

Dalbert only made 11 league appearances last season, while Mario was limited to just 12 starts in Serie A.

In fact, of players that started at least 10 league games for Inter last season, Mario achieved the third lowest WhoScored rating at the club (6.70).
