Tottenham’s shock bid for Manchester United star rejected
Manchester United have rejected Tottenham’s audacious move for Anthony Martial, reports RMC Sport.
Martial has endured a turbulent time at United since Jose Mourinho was made manager over 12 months ago and has frequently been linked with a move away in that time.
The Premier League giants have already rejected Inter’s attempt to include Martial in any deal that would see Ivan Perisic move to Old Trafford and Mourinho’s side have now rebuffed Tottenham’s advances.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the only Premier League team yet to make a single signing this summer and they even have come in for criticism from their own players for showing a lack of ambition.
However, it may prove difficult to prize Martial away from United, who is still rated very highly despite enduring a mixed time under Mourinho.
Since joining United in 2015, only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (17) has scored more Premier League goals than Martial (15).
