Can to decide Liverpool future in 10 days, says Juventus director
Juventus director Beppe Marotta has revealed he expects Liverpool midfielder Emre Can to make a decision on his future at some point this month.
Can is out of contract at the end of the season and looks destined to leave Liverpool for nothing after rejecting Liverpool's attempts to secure his long-term future.
Juventus’ interest in the Germany international has been well documented this year and Marotta expects everything to be much clearer in the next 10 days.
“I am asking myself what the situation is too,” he told Mediaset Premium, via Football Italia.
“We want the soap opera to conclude in around 10 days. The player is right to evaluate all opportunities, so we’ll wait and see what he wants to do.”
Can has missed Liverpool’s last three matches with a back injury and there are fears he may have already played his final game for the club.
A WhoScored rating of 7.28 this season is Can’s best return in a league campaign for Liverpool and it would be a real blow for the club if he opts to leave in the summer.
Juventus are the runaway favourites for his signature but Can is attracting plenty of interest around Europe.
