Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne have tied teenage centre-back Wesley Fofana down to a new deal until 2024, they have confirmed.
The 19-year-old is highly thought of by the French outfit and Fofana has made 13 league starts this season, returning a WhoScored rating of 6.80.
And they have acted switfly to keep the teenager in the long-term, in the process deterring any potential suitors from making a move for the defender.
Fofana is highly thought of by the French side and it's for good reason, even with Saint-Etienne struggling at the wrong end of the Ligue 1 table.
Indeed, they currently sit 17th in the table, just three points above the relegation playoff spot, while only Toulouse (58) and Amiens (50) have conceded more goals than Claude Puel's side (45) in France's top tier this term.
