Barcelona's stunning £85m bid for Richarlison turned down

Everton have turned down an £85m bid from Barcelona for Richarlison, claims Sky Sports.

Barcelona are on the market for a new striker with Luis Suarez ruled out for three months.

The Spanish giants have ended their pursuit of Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno and are reportedly interested in Ajax's Dusan Tadic.

However, it has now emerged they have made an eye-watering play to prise Richarlison away from Everton.

The Brazil international only signed a new long-term deal with Everton at the start of December to quash Manchester United's interest.

Despite the fact Everton have financial troubles, the Toffees have remarkably turned down Barcelona's advances for the 22-year-old.

Richarlison has scored eight goals in 22 league appearances so far this season and is capable of playing mulitple positions up front.

His record for Everton is not a glowing endorsement of his capabilities, with just 21 goals from 139 shots in the Premier League.
