Manchester City put £12m price tag on outcast midfielder
Manchester City are ready to sell Fabian Delph this summer but are demanding £12m for the central midfielder, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Delph has spent the last two years at City after making a £8m move from Aston Villa in 2015 but the England international has struggled to make any impression at the club, although his cause has not been helped by a series of injures.
West Brom and Stoke have reportedly already made enquires about the City midfielder but as Delph still has three years left to run on his existing deal Pep Guardiola’s side are holding out for a big fee.
Despite barely playing for City since making the controversial move to the Eithad, the midfielder’s reputation is largely intact and he can still prove a key player for a mid table side.
In two years at City, Delph has only started 13.2% of their Premier League matches. City have also fared much better in the league with Delph out of the starting XI (57.6% win ratio) compared to when the 27-year-old has been fit to start (40%).
