Barcelona have received a potential boost in their pursuit of Nice ace Jean Micheal Seri with news the Ligue 1 side are sounding out Wolfsburg midfielder Josuha Guilavogui, claims L’Equipe.
Ernesto Valverde’s side have rekindled their interest in Seri from the start of the summer following the £193m windfall of Neymar’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain last week.
Seri, who reportedly has a €40m (£36m) release clause, enjoyed a sublime campaign for Nice last season and has already been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
Lucien Favre’s side has previously been adamant their star man is not for sale this summer, but have now given an indication they are more open to the idea after approaching Guilavogui’s representatives about a potential move.
Reports suggest Nice defender Dante is pushing for a move bring his former Wolfsburg team-mate to the club this summer in a deal that could be worth €8m (£7.2m).
Only Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara (4.6) made more interceptions per game in the Bundesliga last season than Guilavogui (4.5).
