Pedro Obiang has completed a move to Sassuolo from West Ham, the Premier League outfit has confirmed.
The midfielder leaves the London club after four seasons for a fee believed to be in the region of £10m.
The 27-year-old never really cemented a starting berth for the Hammers in that time, making 91 of a possible 152 Premier League appearances, of which only 62 were starts.
Last season the Spaniard started just 12 of 24 league appearances under Manuel Pellegrini, though of players to feature 20 or more times he ranked among the top ten in the league in terms of tackles per 90 minutes (3.3).
Obiang returns to Italy having previously represented Sampdoria before heading to England, joining a Sassuolo side that - like West Ham - finished comfortably in mid-table last season.
