Tottenham ace handed three-game European ban

Dele Alli has been hit with a three-game European ban following his red card in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Gent in the Europa League in February.

The 20-year-old was shown a straight red card for a potential leg-breaking challenge on Gent’s Brecht Dejaegere in the 39th minute of the game with the score 1-1.

It means that Alli will miss the opening three matches of Tottenham’s Champions League group stages if they secure a place in the top three of the Premier League this season.

Alli has been in tremendous form of late for Tottenham but it’s a side of his game he needs to curb. In fact, no player aged 21 and under has scored more goals in Europe’s top five leagues this season than Alli (14).
