Arsenal are plotting a summer move for Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The Senegal international has established himself as a key man for the Toffees following his arrival from Aston Villa last year.
Many believe Gueye to be the signing of the season, with he costing Everton just £7.2m to sign from the relegated Villans.
His performance have not gone unnoticed either, with a host of teams keeping tabs on the 27-year-old, including Arsenal.
The Gunners are eager to strengthen in the middle of the park at the end of the season, with Gueye the ideal target for Arsene Wenger’s side.
He has made more tackles (112) than any other Premier League player this term and his influence in midfield would go a long way to easing Arsenal’s defensive frailties.
Everton won’t want to lose Gueye, but failure to secure a European finish could convince the midfielder to look elsewhere and there won't be a short list of suitors for the Senegalese star.
