Manchester United star expected back next month

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has received a boost with Paul Pogba set to return from a hamstring injury in time for their clash with West Brom on April 1, reports Yahoo.

Pogba, 24, limped off with a hamstring injury three minutes into the second half of United’s 1-0 win over FC Rostov on Thursday night and has since been ruled out of this weekend’s clash with Middlesbrough and the international break.

United feared they would be without their world record signing for some time but it is now thought that Pogba will only miss one game for United and return to action when Mourinho’s side welcome West Brom at the start of April ahead of what will be an immensely busy month for the Red Devils.

Scan results revealed Pogba had avoided a tear in his hamstring and that the muscle was only stressed, but he will still not be able to take part on Sunday or either of France’s upcoming games against Luxembourg and Spain, although he was already suspended for the former.

The France international has come under heavy scrutiny for his performances since returning to Old Trafford and the time out of the limelight should serve the midfielder well before returning to help United in the league and Europa League.

Only Kevin de Bruyne (6) has hit the woodwork more times in the Premier League this season than Pogba (5).
