Napoli linked with second highest rated defender in Argentina
Representatives of River Plate defender Emanuel Mammana met with Napoli and AC Milan this week to discuss a potential move in the summer, according to Sky Italia, via Football Italia.
Mammana, 20, has made a fantastic start to Argentina Primera Division and came close to joining Fiorentina in January before his move collapsed at the last hour.
However, it would appear the €10m (£7.7m) rated defender’s move to Italy is back on the cards after it was reported Napoli and Milan have stepped up their interest in one of the highest rated young defenders in Argentina.
The River Plate defender is currently the third highest rated player in the division this season (7.86) and his performance in their 1-0 win over Independiente on Monday was good enough to earn him a spot in the Team of the Week (8.22).
