Everton pushing to sign Juventus striker

Everton are pushing ahead with their interest in Juventus striker Moise Kean in a deal worth €40m (£36m), reports Goal Italy.

The Toffees have earmarked Kean as a top transfer target this summer, as head coach Marco Silva plots a new first-choice striker next summer.

Silva wants to get deals for Kean and Wilfried Zaha over the line before the transfer window for English clubs shuts on August 8.

Juventus are willing to sell Kean but are adamant that a buy-back clause must be included in any deal.

Everton have been locked in talks to sign Kean for a number of weeks but the issue of agreeing on a buy-back clause has held up a potential deal.

Kean is highly regarded by Juventus but the Old Lady accept game time at the club is limited for the Italy international.

The 19-year-old made 13 league appearances for Juventus last season, though the majority of those came at the end of last season when there was nothing to play for.

Despite that, Kean took his opportunity with aplomb and finished the campaign with six goals.

In fact, Kean averaged a Serie A goal more frequently than any other player last season (one every 89.2 minutes of action).
