Monaco boss unhappy with Arsenal target

Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has expressed his disappointment in comments made by Arsenal target Djibril Sidibe about his future at the Ligue 1 outfit.

Sidibe, 24, who joined Monaco from Lille over the summer, told reporters during the international break that he was primarily looking to stay at club for one season before moving to the Premier League.

The France international turned down the chance to join Arsenal in the summer and Jardim insists it will be the decision of the club whether and when he leaves.

“I do not think that he said that exactly,” Get French Football quote Jardim as saying. “What is bad is the attempt by a player to suggest that he is only here for one year. That, that is up to the club, not the player.”

Since the start of last season only two players have completed more interceptions in Ligue 1 than Sidibe (133).
