Barcelona are interested in signing Anthony Martial from Manchester United this summer, claims The Daily Mail.
Martial has reportedly turned down a contract extension from United and wants to leave the club in the summer.
The France international’s current deal is due to expire at the end of next season but United have an option to extend it by a further 12 months.
Jose Mourinho’s side want to secure his long-term future but Martial is fed up of settling for a place on the bench most weeks.
Martial is now prepared to leave United after three seasons at the club in order to find regular playing time and Barcelona have emerged as interested suitors.
Barcelona are expected to sign another attacking player in the summer but it was thought that Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann topped their wish list.
However, now it has emerged that Ernesto Valverde’s side are weighing up a £60m move for Martial.
The 22-year-old has dropped further down the pecking order at United since Alexis Sanchez joined the club in January.
In fact, the United No.11 has only started four of a possible 14 matches in all competitions since Sanchez signed from Arsenal.
Only Olivier Giroud has scored or assisted as many Premier League goals as a substitute as Martial this season (6).
