De Gea demands Manchester United match Paris Saint-Germain’s contract offer
David de Gea will leave Manchester United this summer unless the Red Devils match Paris Saint-Germain’s contract offer, claims The Sun.
De Gea will only have 12 months left to run on his existing contract this summer and United will have to cash-in if they cannot agree terms on a new deal.
PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid are all keen on the Spain international and the former have made it clear they are willing to match his £350,000-a-week wage demands.
De Gea is regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world and United are willing to reward the 28-year-old with a significant wage hike.
The Spaniard’s camp want De Gea to be made the best-paid goalkeeper in the world but United are not willing to match his demands.
Handing Alexis Sanchez a contract worth in the region of £500,000-a-week in January 2018 is threatening to destabilise United and there is no clear resolution in sight in talks with De Gea.
Since August 2016, only Tottenham ace Hugo Lloris has kept as many clean sheets as De Gea in the Premier League (both 39).
