Real Madrid plan Mbappe signing in August

Real Madrid remain hopeful they will sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe in August, reports Deportes Cuatro.

Mbappe has entered the final 12 months of his current PSG contract and has made it clear he doesn't want to renew.

The France international is even prepared to run down his deal and leave PSG for nothing if they block his departure this summer.

Madrid are currently in the process of selling Raphael Varane to Manchester United for around €50m and plan to use those funds to sign Mbappe.

Neither Madrid nor Mbappe want to agitate PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi but hope for an amicable transfer next month.

Madrid are planning to sign Mbappe for between €120m-€150m, which would free up funds for PSG to land Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo.

PSG are keen to sign Pogba this summer but wanted to sell their fringe players to fund a move rather than Mbappe.

The 22-year-old has remarkably played a direct hand in 118 goals in 108 league appearances for PSG.
