Liverpool enter the race for Arsenal and Manchester United target

Liverpool have entered the race to sign in-demand Russian forward Fedor Chalov, but face plenty of competition for the striker, reports the Mirror.

Chalov enjoyed a fine season for CSKA Moscow last season, despite finishing outside the top four, scoring more goals (15) than any other player in the Russian Premier League.

His performances in Russia haven’t gone unnoticed either, with Liverpool supposedly keeping tabs on the 21-year-old.

However, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City have all been monitoring Chalov’s form in Russia.

What’s more, a host of teams on the continent are eyeing up a £20m move for Chalov, with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla all keen on the Russia international.

Chalov only signed a new deal with CSKA in January, but the Russian Premier League side are aware of massive interest in their prized asset.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is hoping to bring in a new striker following Daniel Sturridge’s exit, though the German has hinted that Rhian Brewster will be handed a more prominent role in the senior squad in the coming campaign.
