Burnley will offer centre-back Michael Keane a new contract in order to ward off interest in the player, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Clarets successfully fended off a number of Leicester bids for the youngster in the summer, while Chelsea have since been credited with an interest in Keane.
The 23-year-old is considered a long-term replacement for John Terry, with Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo keeping a close eye on the player.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche views Keane as an integral member of the squad and is keen to tie him down to a deal before the January transfer window opens.
With Chelsea looking to improve their homegrown quota, Keane has been identified as a top target for the Blues, though Dyche will hope the centre-back puts pen to paper on a fresh contract before the end of the year.
