David Silva agrees surprise three-year deal with Serie A outfit
David Silva will join Serie A outfit Lazio on a three-year deal once Manchester City's Champions League campaign has concluded, reports The Guardian.
Silva will leave City after 10 years once his current deal expires at the end of the month and he has been linked with a return to Spain or lucrative switch to MLS.
However, former club Valencia are currently in turmoil on and off the pitch and it has now emerged the 34-year-old has agreed to join Lazio.
The Serie A outfit have enjoyed a superb season and ended up securing Champions League football for next season with a fourth-place finish.
Ciro Immobile claimed the European Golden Boot award after netting 36 goals, while Luis Alberto weighed in with the second most assists in Serie A (15).
Despite seeing his gametime diminish this season at City, Silva still managed a direct hand in 16 Premier League goals.
Silva scored six times and registered 10 assists in just 27 Premier League appearances in 2019/20.
In fact, in only two of Silva's previous season Premier League campaigns has he managed more than 16 goal involvements.
