Arsenal youngster commits future to north London powerhouse
Bukayo Saka has put pen to paper on a new deal with Arsenal, the club has confirmed.
The Gunners were concerned that the youngster would depart this summer as talks stalled over a new contract.
Indeed, Saka's previous deal run until 2021, but Arsenal fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief with the teenager put pen to paper on a long-term contract.
"Bukayo Saka has signed a new long-term contract, securing his future with the club," a statement read on the club's official website.
"The 18-year-old has been with us since the age of seven and has come through the ranks at our Hale End academy. He has made an impressive impact this season and has now made 34 first-team appearances since his debut in the Europa League in November 2018.
"Bukayo made his Premier League debut at the age of 17 in a 4–1 win against Fulham last season. He scored his first senior goal in a 3-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt in September last year."
On the news, head coach Mikel Arteta said: "Bukayo is a talented and intelligent young player. He has impressed me with his work ethic and attitude to learn and adapt, and it has paid off in his performances.
"I am excited to continue working with him to develop him further, and for him to help us achieve our goals."

Saka has 11 assists to his name in all competitions this season, five of which have come in the Europa League, more than any other player.
