Southampton have confirmed out of favour midfielder Mario Lemina has completed a season-long loan deal to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Galatasaray have agreed a €1m loan fee for the Gabon international and have an option to make his switch permanent for a further €16m (£14.5m).
The 26-year-old’s arrival completes an impressive deadlined day for Galatasaray, who also celebrated the signing of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao.
Lemina has been angling for a move away from Southampton all summer after falling down the pecking order last season.
Manchester United were linked with a shock move for Lemina earlier in the window but the central midfielder has now secured a move to Turkey.
Lemina has struggled to stay fit for prolonged periods over the last 12 months and made just 46 league appearances for Southampton in two seasons. His dribbles success rate was an impressive 75.6% in that time.
