Asmir Begovic has completed his move to Chelsea, Stoke City and the Blues have confirmed.
Chelsea had been strongly linked with a move for the Bosnian goalkeeper and on Monday, he secured his switch to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues needed a backup for Thibaut Courtois after Petr Cech moved to Arsenal and while Rob Green was mooted with a move to Chelsea, Begovic becomes the champion's second signing of the summer following Falcao's loan move to the club.
"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea FC," the 28-year-old told Chelsea's official website.
"After speaking at length to the manager, I feel like I can develop here and be an important part of this team. I am looking forward to meeting up with the team on Wednesday for the pre-season tour."
Begovic joins Chelsea on a four-year deal for a fee of around £8m.
