Nolan to train with Orient

Kevin Nolan is set to begin training with League 2 side Leyton Orient following his departure from West Ham earlier in the summer.

Nolan, 33, agreed to leave the Hammers by mutual consent just days before the transfer window closed and will now train with Ian Hendon’s team.

“It is great to have such a model professional in Kevin at the club, and I am more than happy for him to come in and train with the squad,” Hendon told the Orient’s official website.

“It is good for our players to be training with a vastly experienced and talented Premier League midfielder.”

The former Newcastle midfielder has been a regular goalscorer during his career, but saw first team opportunities restricted to just 19 starts last season, where he gained his lowest WhoScored rating (6.56) in the last four years.
