Manchester United are the latest club to register an interest in Inter frontman Lautaro Martinez, reports The Sunday Express.
The Argentine hitman is top of Barcelona's wishlist, while Premier League champions Manchester City are also considering a move for Martinez.
The duo would now face competition from United for the young forward who has been catching the attention of a number of Europe's top sides following his arrival from Argentina two years ago.
Indeed, Inter are braced for his likely summer exit and have been identifying possible replacements for the 22-year-old, which includes Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to secure a new forward when the transfer window opens later this year and has been impressed with Martinez's Inter performances.
Solskjaer has had to make do with Anthony Martial as the club's number one forward in Marcus Rashford's absence and while United landed Odion Ighalo on loan in January, United are yet to decide whether to pursue the Nigerian permanently.
However, United, while scrambling to put together a deal for Martinez, is set to snub interest from the Premier League giants, with Barcelona still leading the way for the youngster.
