Leicester are weighing up a move for Gremio forward Luan after holding talks with the player and his representatives for two hours, according to Brazilian outlet Globo, via The Daily Mirror.
Claudio Ranieri is keen to bolster his squad ahead of Champions League football next season having already signed three players this summer with CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa also on the verge of joining the Premier League champions.
However, Leicester’s move for Luan could prove a nonstarter with Gremio reportedly looking to demand £35m for the 23-year-old who is versatile to play through the middle and on the right flank.
Luan is currently Gremio’s highest rated player (7.50) in the Brasileirao having scored five goals and registered one assist in 12 appearances this season. Only Gustavo Scarpa of Fluminense (49) has had more shots on goal in the Brazilian top-flight this season than Luan (44).
