On loan star keen on Juventus stay

Juan Cuadrado is keen to remain with Juventus beyond the end of his loan stay, says the club's CEO Giuseppe Marotta.

The Colombian secured a summer switch to the Serie A champions after struggling to make his mark for Chelsea during a disappointing six months.

Cuadrado, though, has looked back to his best during his time in Turin, with his WhoScored rating (7.34) better than any other Juventus player this season.

Marotta now insists that a deal could be struck with the Blues in January to turn the 27-year-old's loan move permanent for a fee in the region of £16m, with the Juventus CEO adamant that the Colombia international is happy with the Serie A champions.

"We do not have the right to sign him permanently. He's only on loan. But he showed the will to stay with us and continue to fight," Marotta told Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"We will see with Chelsea at the right time, but a good conclusion is possible."
