Bayern Munich to match Arsenal star’s wage demands

Bayern Munich are prepared to make Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez their highest paid player as they gear up to offer the Chilean £350,000-a-week to move to the Allianz Arena, reports the Daily Mirror.

Arsenal are resigned to losing their prized asset this summer, yet are continuing to try and convince Alexis to stay at the Emirates, but failure to do so would likely see the Gunners cash in on the former Barcelona man.

The north London side would favour selling to a non-Premier League side, though that is unlikely to deter Manchester City and Chelsea from moving for Alexis.

However, Bayern are hoping to lure the 28-year-old to Germany and are prepared to smash their wage structure to convince Alexis to swap the Emirates for the Allianz Arena.

The Bundesliga champions have been strongly linked with a move for the forward in recent weeks and are pushing hard to secure his services as they aim to return to the summit of European football.

Bayern are set to offer £40m for Alexis, while the player’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has already held talks with Bayern officials over a possible switch.

Alexis, though, is supposedly keen on staying in England, and in particular a switch to City to link up with Pep Guardiola once more.
