Liverpool ace beats De Bruyne to PFA Fans' Player of the Year
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has been crowned the PFA Fans' Player of the Year for the 2019/20 Premier League season.
The Sengeal international claimed 41 per cent of the votes, edging Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne (27 per cent) for the award.
Mane scored 18 goals and registered seven assists in 35 Premier League appearances to help fire Liverpool to their first ever Premier League title.
Moreover, the 28-year-old was Liverpool's highest WhoScored rated player in the Premier League last term (7.45).
Liverpool have now claimed the PFA Fans' Player of the Year award in two of the last three campaigns.
Mohamed Salah picked up the award in 2017/18 before Eden Hazard was voted the winner in his final campaign for Chelsea in 2018/19.
With Mane claiming this season's gong, it means Liverpool have now had more winners of the PFA Fan's Player of the Year award than any other club in the Premier League era (6).
