Chelsea are ready to step up their pursuit of Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope as they look to secure a replacement for Kepa, reports The Star Sunday.
Kepa looks to have already played his last game for the Blues having watched on as Chelsea beat Wolves 2-0 on the final day of the Premier League season before losing the FA Cup final to London rivals Arsenal 2-1.
It remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will be recalled for their Champions League tie with Bayern Munich next weekend, with it possible that Willy Caballero will keep his spot between the sticks.
Indeed, Chelsea have been linked with a host of goalkeepers, including Jan Oblak, Dean Henderson and Andre Onana as Frank Lampard looks to shuffle his pack.
However, Pope has emerged as a top candidate for Chelsea, but Burnley could look to demand upwards of £50m for the England international.
Pope came perilously close to landing the 2019/20 Premier League Golden Glove having kept 15 clean sheets and was pipped to the award on the final day of the season by Ederson (16).
The 28-year-old still has three years left to run on his current Burnley contract, so the Clarets are under no pressure to sell the shotstopper.
It may be that Pope views a move to Chelsea as the ideal switch as he seeks to usurp Jordan Pickford as England's number one shotstopper ahead of next summer's rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament.
