Everton interested in Juventus outcast

Everton have joined the race to sign out of favour Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, reports Tuttomercatoweb, via Football Italia.

The Serie A champions only signed Lemina on a permanent deal from French side Marseille last summer but the Gabon international has struggled to make any impact at the club and is now tipped with a summer exit.

Lemina has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal and Valencia but Everton have now expressed an interest in the 23-year-old as Ronald Koeman looks to continue the club’s summer spending spree.

Everton shelled out more than £50m to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Ajax captain Davy Klaassen on Thursday and all signs point towards more incomings as the club look set to lose Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku.

Lemina only started eight games in Serie A last season, and with Juventus keen to sign Steven N’Zonzi his first team opportunities would only be restricted further next season.
