AC Milan have tabled a huge offer to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, reports Chilean outlet TVN, via Football Italia.
The Serie A giants have been one of the busiest teams in the transfer window this summer and Vincenzo Montella’s side have no intentions of reigning in their summer spending spree despite having already spent in excess of £150m.
Milan have already signed Franck Kessie and Lucas Biglia to strengthen their midfield options but Montella also wants to recruit Vidal to complete what would be a hugely impressive midfield three.
The Chile international, who has spent the last two years at Bayern, has been heavily linked with a return to Italy this summer but the club’s chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already rubbished those suggestions.
However, Milan have reportedly made a big bid for the 30-year-old and are even willing to double Vidal’s current salary in a bid to lure the combative midfielder to San Siro.
In the last two Champions League campaigns, only Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho (54) has committed more fouls than Vidal (48).
