Juventus enter race for Manchester United target

Juventus have joined Manchester United in wanting to sign Wolves star Raul Jimenez at the end of the season, reports The Times.

Jimenez has been a revelation for Wolves since joining the Premier League outfit from Benfica in the summer of 2018.

The Mexico international spent a season on loan with Wolves before Nuno's side made his switch permanent and now they are bracing themselves for offers from some of Europe's elite clubs.

Jimenez struggled to get a game come the end of his spell at Benfica but is now regarded as one of the best striker's in the Premier League.

United have earmarked the 29-year-old as a transfer target to potentially bolster their offensive options for next season but could now face stiff competition from Juventus.

Gonzalo Higuain has endured a hugely underwhelming first season back at Juventus following loan stints at AC Milan and Chelsea last term and the Old Lady want to sign a replacement.

Jimenez has played a direct hand in 39 goals in 67 league appearances for Wolves in the last two years (26 goals, 13 assists).
