Wonderkid Mbappe ignoring Premier League interest
Monaco's teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe is ignoring interest from the Premier League and remains "very calm" about the attention he is receiving, the Daily Mail report.
The 18-year old has been in scintilating form since the turn of the year, most recently scoring a brace as Monaco maintained their lead at the top of Ligue 1 with a 3-0 win at Caen.
The striker has now scored 9 goals in his last 5 Ligue 1 starts and recently became the youngest player in 30 years to reach ten goals in France's top tier, since taking his tally to 12 at the weekend. Interest from across Europe, including the Premier League from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, comes as no shock whatsoever, though the teen is keen to focus on his duties for Monaco.
Speaking after the game with Caen, Mbappe confirmed "Sorry, but I do not look at what the English press say. I remain very calm about the attention I get."
Having already been touted as the next Thierry Henry, the Monaco forward is continuing to go from strength to strength and is now the third top scorer of players aged 21 and under in Europe's top 5 leagues, despite starting just half of his 22 league appearances.
