Swansea weigh up move for former Tottenham winger

Swansea manager Paul Clement is interested in signing West Brom winger Nacer Chadli, reports BBC Sport.

Chadli joined West Brom from Tottenham for a club-record £13m deal last summer but endured a fairly underwhelming campaign for the Baggies last term.

The Belgium international was left out of West Brom’s tour of Austria after a row with Tony Pulis earlier this summer, but the Baggies' head coach has since dismissed suggestions he could leave.

However, Swansea are ready to test West Brom’s resolve using some of the £45m they expect to make from Gylfi Sigurdsson’s impending move to Everton.

In 31 league appearances, Chadli only managed to play a direct hand in 10 goals (five goals, five assists).
