€50m release clause to be triggered for Manchester United and Arsenal target

TalkSport claim that Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj has told the club that another side is ready to trigger his €50m release clause this summer.

The 24-year-old Albanian has been a mainstay for the Partenopei since making the switch along with manager Maurizio Sarri from Empoli in 2015.

While they would no doubt be disappointed to lose such a regular fixture in their starting XI, Napoli could be on course to receive a fee ten times what they paid their former Serie A rivals three years ago.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are known to be admirers of the right-back but it is as yet unclear which club has agreed to stump up the sum secure Hysaj’s services.

The defender has made 98 Serie A appearances for Napoli since his arrival and seen more minutes on the field (8632) than any other outfield teammate in that time.
