Liverpool plan big money swoop for highly rated Gladbach pair
Liverpool are plotting an £88m double swoop for highly rated Gladbach duo Denis Zakaria and Marcus Thuram, reports German outlet Express.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to launch another raid of his homeland having previously done so to bring the likes of Joel Matip and Loris Karius to Merseyside.
And he is prepared to strengthen his midfield and attack with the respective captures of Zakaria and Thuram.
Both have been key players for the Foals, who currently sit fourth in the Bundesliga, six points off first placed Bayern Munich.
Indeed, the duo rank among the club's top four best-rated performers in Germany's top tier this term.
Zakaria has previously been courted by a host of Premier League sides, with Liverpool aiming to bolster their midfield with the Swiss star.
Thuram, meanwhile, has seen his stock soar after his summer arrival from Guingamp, as noted in his fine WhoScored rating (7.33).
The Frenchman is able to play all across the frontline, and this attacking versatility appeals to Klopp.
Liverpool have also been linked with moves for Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, respectively.
