West Brom are poised to land Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires with the Championship outfit, reports The Daily Mirror.
Tony Pulis’ side failed to sign Taylor at the start of the season and Leeds are still refusing to let go of the 23-year-old this month despite the fact they will lose him for just compensation at the end of the season.
As a result the Baggies have confirmed they will honour the season-long loan agreement they have with Everton for left-back Brendan Galloway until the end of the season before snapping up Taylor when his contract expires.
Galloway has found game time hard to come by since making the switch to the Hawthorns and has even been overlooked on the left side of their defence by Nyom, who is naturally a right-back.
Of defenders only Andy Yiadom (47) and Hildeberto Pereira (36) have completed more dribbles than Taylor (30) in the Championship this season.
