Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho this summer by parent club Barcelona, claims Sky Sports.
Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga outfit are not expected to make his move permanent.
Barcelona have made offloading Coutinho one of their top priorities this summer in order to faciliate moves for their main transfer targets.
The Spanish side already accept they will have to take a huge hit on Coutinho in order to sell him permanently having signed him for £142m at the start of 2018.
Coutinho's reputation has plummeted since then and Barcelona are even having to offer him to clubs, including Chelsea, in order to find any potential takers.
Chelsea already have Hakim Ziyech joining from Ajax in the summer but will need to bolster their offensive options with Willian, Pedro and Olivier Giroud all out of contract.
Frank Lampard's side are in the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund but also know they have a good opportunity to land former Liverpool star Coutinho.
Despite only starting 15 of his 22 league appearances this season, the 27-year-old has notably still managed to play a direct hand in 14 Bundesliga goals for Bayern (eight goals, six assists).
