Manchester United target wants Premier League return

Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier wants to return to England amid interest from Manchester United, claims The Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old has spent the last two seasons in Spain after leaving Tottenham to join Atletico in 2019 but has been heavily linked with a move to United this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a new right-back to provide Aaron Wan-Bissaka with competition.

Trippier's current Atletico deal is due to expire next summer and he now wants to win silverware in England after lifting the La Liga title last season.

United are so far only willing to pay £10m for Trippier due to his contract situation but Atletico are holding out for three times that fee.

The Red Devils are not the only Premier League side interested in Trippier, who was born in Bury, but a move to Old Trafford is his preference.

Trippier finished the 2020/21 campaign in our La Liga Team of the Season as the highest WhoScored rated right-back (7.20).
