Everton move for United veteran

Everton are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick at the end of the season, according to The Guardian.

Carrick, 34, has entered the final few months of his current deal at Old Trafford and there have yet to be talks about renewing his deal leaving his future up in the air.

The England international is approaching his 10th year at United but his performances have tailed off this season under Louis van Gaal.

Everton, who have a good history of signing former United players, are reportedly monitoring the situation with a view to move for the midfielder when his contract expires.
