Manchester United suffer Pogba injury blow

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Paul Pogba has been ruled out until December.

Pogba has missed United's last five matches with an ankle injury sustained in a 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

The France international was playing through the pain prior to that but the midfielder has been told he needs proper rest.

It was hoped Pogba's injury wouldn't keep him sidelined for long but Solskjaer has revealed he will be sidelined for the whole of next month.

"I don't think we'll see Pogba before December," BBC Sport quote Solskjaer as saying after Sunday's 3-1 win over Norwich.

"He'll be out for a while. He needs time to full recovery. Probably it will be December before we can see him."

Manchester United suffer Pogba injury blow

United have struggled in Pogba's absence but have now won back-to-back away matches for the first time since March.

The Red Devils are up into seventh following Sunday's comfortable win over Norwich, in which they scored more than once for just the second time in their last 20 games.

Pogba has only managed to play in half of United's league games so far this season but fortunately for United they have a kind run of matches coming up over the next month.

It's important for United they can Pogba back to full fitness in time for the festive period as they face the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City in December.

Despite missing five Premier League games this season, only Ashley Young (17) has created more goalscoring chances for United than Pogba (13) this season.
