Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Davinson Sanchez has put pen to paper on a new contract.
The 21-year-old joined from Ajax last summer and signed a six-year deal upon his arrival from the Eredivisie side.
However, after a successful debut campaign in England, Sanchez has extended his stay at the club until 2024.
“We are delighted to announce that Davinson Sanchez has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2024,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The Colombia international defender has enjoyed a successful first season in England after joining us from Ajax in August, 2017.
“Davinson, 21, made his Tottenham debut as a substitute against Burnley in August, 2017, and has gone on to become a mainstay of the side, impressing with his performances during 41 appearances for the Club this season.
“Having represented his country at youth levels, Davinson made his senior Colombia debut in November, 2016, and has now won seven caps in total ahead of this summer’s World Cup.”
