Inter defender Juan Jesus has revealed he received offers over the summer to leave the Nerazzurri but has pledged he will never join Juventus.
Jesus, 24, was linked with a move away from the San Siro over the summer but resisted the urge to leave Inter to win titles with Roberto Mancini’s side.
Serie A rivals Juventus were one of the teams reportedly interested in a move for the Brazilian full-back, but Jesus insists he would never join the reigning champions out of respect to Inter.
“I did receive some offers over the summer, but it wasn’t the right time to leave, as I knew I had more to give to Inter,” Jesus revealed to Inter Channel.
“I want to win with this team and I still have a long contract.
“I would never join Juventus. It’s a great club, but I have to do the right thing by Inter, having spent so much time here.”
Jesus has been an ever-present in the first-team since making the switch to Inter from his homeland in 2012, but is facing competition to keep his left-back position from Alex Telles, who joined from Galatasaray over the summer.
The Brazil international is currently Inter’s highest rated player in Serie A, according to WhoScored (7.34 rating).
