Sevilla have announced they have completed a deal to take Inter striker Stevan Jovetic on loan for the remainder of the season with a view to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Jovetic, 27, only joined Inter from Manchester City in 2015 and after making a positive start to life back in Italy the striker has since dropped down the pecking order.
Sevilla have made a superb start to the season and are second in La Liga and currently Real Madrid’s closest challengers, with the arrival of Jovetic set to boost their chances of maintaining a spot in the top three.
Jorge Sampaoli now has an incredible array of offensive options at his disposal with Luciano Vietto, Wissam Ben Yedder, Franco Vazquez, Joaquin Correa, Samir Nasri and Ganso to fill advanced areas.
Jovetic hasn’t started a league game this season and has only been given 69 minutes of action in Serie A, where he hasn’t found the back of the net.
