The agent of Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez, Jorge Mendes, has offered the out of favour Colombian to Serie A giants AC Milan, according to Italian publication Repubblica.it.
Rodriguez is widely expected to leave Real Madrid this summer having fallen way down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane, so much so that he was not even chosen in the match day squad for last month’s Champions League final.
A host of Premier League sides have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all rumoured to be in the running to snare the creative star.
Reports suggest that AC Milan are now willing to offer Real Madrid €60m to lure Rodriguez to San Siro this summer.
Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes is on good terms with AC Milan following their capture of Andre Silva from FC Porto, with the youngster also represented by Mendes.
However, AC Milan’s opening gambit falls short of Real Madrid’s asking price for Rodriguez, who is expected to leave the Bernabeu before the close of the transfer window.
