West Ham launch player swap bid for Aston Villa striker
West Ham have made a new offer to sign Aston Villa attacker Jhon Duran, reports The Athletic.
The bid comprises of £30 million cash, plus teenage midfielder Lewis Orford, who has previously attracted interest from Aston Villa.
After struggling for game time behind the red-hot Ollie Watkins last season, Jhon Duran has been open to a move away from Villa Park.
West Ham failed with a loan and option to buy offer in the January window, but have returned to the table with a proposal that is likely to come closer to Villa’s reported £35 million valuation.
Of the 144 players to score 3+ goals, Jhon Duran had the best mins per goal return (every 92.4 mins) in the Premier League last season. ⚽️ pic.twitter.com/QUNVTgSM8L

The 20-year-old Colombian striker has already agreed personal terms on a five-year deal with West Ham, and will now wait for the clubs to conclude a deal.
