Liverpool are in talks with Bundesliga side Cologne to sign left-back Jonas Hector, according to This is Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have already agreed a fee with Cologne and have now been given permission to discuss terms with the Germany international.
Hector, 26, who is expected to start for Germany at the Euros in the summer, would add competition for places with Alberto Moreno, who has failed to make a convince since joining from Sevilla last summer.
No defender registered more assists in the Bundesliga last season than Hector (4).
