Tottenham are considering a £10m move for Estudiantes centre-back Juan Foyth as Mauricio Pochettino looks to improve his centre-back options this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
With Kevin Wimmer expected to leave Spurs this summer, Pochettino is weary of being caught short in defence ahead of the coming campaign and has targeted the 19-year-old as a potential signing.
Foyth was part of the Argentina squad at the recent U20 World Cup, eventually won by England, and impressed at the heart of the defence.
And now, the teenage defender is on Spurs’ radar, with Foyth prepared to reject interest from Roma and Russian suitors in order to move to the Premier League runners-up.
Foyth is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: “I would like to play in Europe, and if something comes up that convinces me and the club I will go.
“My agent never told me that an offer had arrived from Zenit. I would not go to Russia right now.
“If I do go it is not because I want to, but rather to help the club out economically.”

Foyth made just seven league appearances for Estudiantes last season, yet averaged the second most tackles per game (2.7) of all teenagers in the Argentine Primera Division.
